In the last few decades, the usage of small sealed batteries in consumer applications has been exponential. Primary or rechargeable batteries in small form factor are being used in a huge number of appliances. Unfortunately, there is one major characteristic of Ni-Cd batteries called the “memory effect”, which is their only disadvantage.
